The local guide to decorating your tree
As we are well into the last week before Christmas, instead of doing a last minute gift guide I thought I would put together a little post about tree decorations. By now you all probably have your tree up and most likely have all your shopping done (or if not, like me, you will be battling the shops and praying for the deliveries to arrive on time) but there’s always room for another little decoration on the tree .
So let’s talk about the tree, for me the Christmas tree should be full of memories, with mismatching decorations picked up over the years from handmade to holiday keepsakes, each decoration should have a story behind it. I don't think I will ever have a ‘styled’ coordinated tree no matter how beautiful they can look and if your the person who has that themed tree good on you for the commitment I just don have it in me.... but that maybe says more about my personality than I care to admit!
Every time I'm somewhere interesting I try to pick up a Christmas decoration or if I see something that reminds me of a happy memory or place I'll buy it even if it's mid July in Venice!
If you've been following me for a while you will know I also love to support local small businesses so to combine my love for the unstyled tree and promote some top local businesses I've put together a list of crafted, locally available Christmas decorations whixh I think will create interesting additions to your tree. They would also all make a lovely last minute gift!
Hope you will all agree these would make a great addition to any tree and that there’s something for everyone!
Have a lovely Christmas!
